So Audrey comes in my room this morning to tell me that she can't get a piece of apple out from between her teeth. I told her to use her flosser, and just wiggle it out. Then about two seconds later, I hear Wesley scream "MOM!!! That's not an apple! Audrey is getting a new tooth!" What?! She still has her baby tooth?! But low and behold, there it is, a brand new "adult tooth" popping in right behind her baby teeth.
I know this seems like no big deal to everyone else, but it is really hitting me BIG time now that she is growing up. We were at the dentist just last week, and he told me those teeth were about to come through and her baby teeth would be gone soon, but I didn't expect it to be a WEEK later!
Now I can't help but fast forward to eight months from now to the first day of kindergarten. If I'm struggling with baby teeth, what am I going to be like when that day comes? And not to mention, I kinda wanted her to have ALL of her baby teeth in her mouth for her kindergarten pictures. :-(
Oh, well. She's gotta grow up sometime, but so soon really?! Thank you God for her baby years, we are looking forward (but not too much!) to kindergarten with her! I can't wait to have the day to myself (I don't remember what that's like!), but I'm going to miss her too!!!
