Fifty days til' Christmas

Audrey was in charge of the advent calendar today. We told her that there were only five days left, and off she went to change it. It wasn't until later that Matt noticed...

How cute is that?! We both laughed so hard. I love her!

Christmas Parties!

This week was full of Christmas parties. My class had theirs on Tuesday, Audrey's was on Thursday and Wesley's was Thursday too. I was at all three this year! The kids were very happy.

Audrey's party had a book exchange, and she got the book "I'll love you forever". I've read this book before and it a great book, especially for a mom who has a boy. She was happy with it and we have read it only a million times since Thursday.

Wesley's school had a "Sock Hop" party for the entire 4th grade. Matt decorated his holiday socks for him, not too bad either. He wanted one decorated as Rudolph, and one decorated as Clarice (Rudolph's girlfriend). Good Job Matt! They turned the cafeteria into a dance floor and all of the kids danced for the entire hour. Audrey included. A few of these pictures are of Wesley and Audrey dancing the Tango and him dipping her! It was so cute. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention he did the worm for all of his friends to see....yeah, the worm.

Cold Cold and more freakin' COLD!!!

Hello all...I am freezing my butt off, but we all know this is Texas and tomorrow it will all change. Thank GOD! I tell Matt all the time that Virginia would kill me, and I think he finally gets it after hearing me complain yesterday and today.

So, let's play a little catch up real quick. Last weekend we had our annual cookie baking weekend, and the boys had their (now becoming ) annual weekend camping at Rocky's weekend. And a million cookies later, we are now at home. Oh yeah, and the picture of my haircut is now available...

Audrey had her Christmas program last week. Matt tried to get some pictures, but they didn't work out too well. It was cute though. I didn't get to see it because I was behind the risers with my class.

The kids get out of school this week, and will be out until New Years. They are so excited and so are we! I will be trying to go to Wesley's school party on Thursday, wish me luck...

Love you all. Post more later!

Super Saturday

Wesley had his trophy ceremony today at CiCi's pizza. I know, yummy for the kids, questionable for Mom and Dad. He had a blast though. Coach called him Mr. Defence, he was very proud! Wesley said that he wants to play again next season.
Miss Priss got a haircut today! We have found that less hair equals more attitude...hhmmmmm.
Really though, I think it's cute. When we got home all she wanted to do was look in the mirror. Not much different for her normal routine though! :)

Happy Thanksgiving

First of all. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! We had a great time at Paw Paw and Ya Ya's (Matt's Mom and Dad's) house. Matt's great Uncle Martin came from McKinney, Aunt Lis and Uncle Aaron were there too. We had GREAT food and lots of fun. Audrey says she is thankful for my family, Jesus and God and the whole universe. Wes says he is thankful for his puppy and his family. Matt and I are thankful for each other and a wonderfully blessed, happy and healthy family! We are sorry to have missed everyone else this year, but hopefully we will all be able to see each other at Christmas.

I was not able to get many pictures, only a few of the kids, but here they are.

Soccer Mom?!

Yep, just like it sounds, I joined a soccer team. I think I might be losing my mind. We had our first game last Monday at 11:30 pm. YES, I said 11:30 P. freakin' M. Let's just say that I was practically useless at school on Tuesday (sorry Kathy) we did win though.
Fortunately, this week's game is at 10:45 pm (a whole 45 minutes earlier), and I don't have to work this Tuesday. I really did have fun though, but I was quickly reminded that I am not in High School anymore! So friends, please keep me in your prayers as I go in for another beating tomorrow. Ok, beating is a little harsh...pray for me as I go in for round #2!

I Gotta Hair Cut!

Yep, I cut it all off! I'll post a pic later, but please be kind....more to follow.

Long Time No Blog...

Sorry guys its been so long. So much has happened since I last posted. We made a trip to Ganma's house at the beginning of the month. I was able to get a few cute pictures while we were there. It was just a weekend visit. I went to a friends baby shower while we were there.

Here we are at Ganma's! Audrey is sporting a chocolate milk moustache and Ganma's glasses, and Wesley has his finger up his nose. These shots captures their personalities pretty accurately!

Here they are, on their BEST behavior!

This picture of Abby is hysterical. The kids are hiding under the pool from her and she was going CRAZY trying to get them!

I FINALLY uploaded some pictures Lindsey brought of Matt from back in the day. I thought that there would be some of you guys out there that would like to see them. (Your welcome Rocky, and sorry Matt)

I had to post these pictures of Audrey. The first one is her asleep. Apparently she saw her Aunt La sleeping one time with some blinders on so..........

she found some of her own. This is the Cinderella headband that came with some dress up clothes. Where does this girl come up with this stuff? Oh, and here she is again as "Bat girl". I know, I don't get it either?! But she's pretty darn cute!

Cowboys!!!

Matt got two ticket to the Dallas Cowboys game this past Sunday! We had a blast together...(thanks again Mom). We were a little bummed when we found out that Tony Romo wasn't going to play, but they pulled it off anyway and it turned out to be a really exciting game! The tickets were really good too, 35 rows back and on the 20 yard line, and this is the last season they will play at Texas Stadium. GO COWBOYS!! Thanks baby! I had a great time!

Pumpkin Patch

Here are a few pictures of our visit to the Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch. The kids had a great time...wish we could have stayed a little longer!

A Ganma Weekend!

Ganma came to visit this weekend! We had a great time with her. She joined us for both of the kids games, we had lunch together and then went to the Pumpkin Patch! She also worked with me at church on Saturday night and spent ALL day with the kids on Sunday while Matt and I went to the Cowboy game. (Thanks Mom!) I know they had a great time. Audrey and Wesley were so excited to spend the day with their Ganma, it's not often that they get this kind of opportunity!

Tag your it!

I saw this on one of my students family blog. I thought it was a cute idea so here it goes! (Thanks for the idea Cynthia!)

Here's a new tag that is actually pretty simple to do.
Open your pictures folder
Go to the SIXTH folder
Go to the SIXTH picture
Publish it to a NEW POST and tell the story of the photo
This is actually the fifth picture...The sixth one was the side of Audrey's face (you couldn't see the whole mask). But this is Batgirl....umm I mean Audrey. Notice her little broken wrist, (McDonald's playground) Wesley would always have her dress up as Batman or Spiderman and they would play together. I miss it!!!

A Busy Week

Well, it is finally Friday, and I still have so much to do! I thought before I get started for the day that I would take some time and give a quick family update...

First of all, Congratulations to my good friend Sara who had her baby girl on Monday. Emma Grace was born on Monday October 13th at 12:07 am. She weighed in at 7lbs and 3oz and was 20 in. long. Sara made it to the hospital 20 minutes before she was born! I can't wait to meet her!

School is going well for the kiddos and myself. Wesley got his first report card this year, and he did fairly well. He will be doing tutoring for some help in math. I am very grateful for his teacher this year, who is determined to set Wesley on the right path. She has been an answer to our prayers! Wesley has joined running club after school. He runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and when he reaches 100 miles he will earn a hooded sweat shirt. Needless to say, he is very excited about it, and I am all for anything that can wear that boy out! He ran two miles yesterday on his first day. Go Wes!

Audrey is doing great too. She had a letter "T" bag come home on Tuesday with the instructions to find an object that starts with the letter "T" and bring it back to school in Thursday. She choose to bring a "t"ee-shirt from one of her dolls. Her school is having Farm Day in a couple of weeks and she is very excited about it! There will be pictures I'm sure. Cubbies is going well for her too, she has earned two patches for her vest so far!

Matt and I are also doing well. We realized the other day that in about a month we will have been married for 6 1/2 years! Wow how time does fly. He says that it still feels like we got married yesterday, but that we have the comfort level of a couple that has been married for 60 years! Couldn't ask for a better guy.

Post more later...We love you all.

The Air Show

We went to the air show today with Matt's friend Lindsey from Virginia. We got there just in time to see the Thunderbirds! We asked Audrey why do you think they call them the Thunderbirds? She replied "because they fly like birds, and are fast as thunder!" Later she corrected her self and told us she meant to say..."loud as thunder, because lighting is fast...not thunder"

Wesley was amazed as he is every year. His favorite plane was the A-10 Thunderbolt (War Hog)
.

Audrey was not too happy with the noise, even though she had earplugs. Fortunately, Lindsey was kind enough to hold her hands over her ears the whole time! (Sucka!)

This has now become a family tradition of sorts, this was the third year we have attended, and we are already looking forward to next time!

I Love Our Dog...

Abigail Marie Jackson (a name given by Wesley). This is the sweetest dog I have ever known, Wesley reminded me today that she just had a birthday, so happy 2nd birthday Abby. Here are five reasons why we love our dog.

1. She snores like a human
2. She still acts like a puppy
3. She has the most adorable face
4. She loves the kids (she thinks she is one of them!)
5. She knows how to melt your heart

Welcome to the 21st Century!

So, I'm joining the 21st century and creating a blog! I thought that this would be a good way for everyone to keep updated with us, since we are all so busy. I'll try to update our blog every few days or so, but NO promises!

We just finished a very busy week, and tomorrow it starts all over again! Wesley had his first (flag) football game, and Audrey had her first soccer game yesterday. They did so well! This is Wesley's first year to play football (he's played soccer and basketball before) and Audrey's first year in sports period. Let's just say that they were exhausted last night!

Wesley's team won, and Audrey's...well lets just say thankfully they don't keep score yet. After explaining to Wesley that you are not supposed to take the flag off of another player unless he has the ball, and if your team has the ball, you don't need to take the flag at all, he finally found his grove. He even made a "tackle"! Yeah Wes!

Watching Audrey and her team was hilarious! They were so cute and sweet. All of the girls were waiting for permission to run, kick, or go after the ball. It's hard to explain to them that this time you can go after it and take it with out asking!

Well, I hope to have more pictures and posts later, and I'll try my best!
