Cowboys!!!

Matt got two ticket to the Dallas Cowboys game this past Sunday! We had a blast together...(thanks again Mom). We were a little bummed when we found out that Tony Romo wasn't going to play, but they pulled it off anyway and it turned out to be a really exciting game! The tickets were really good too, 35 rows back and on the 20 yard line, and this is the last season they will play at Texas Stadium. GO COWBOYS!! Thanks baby! I had a great time!

Pumpkin Patch

Here are a few pictures of our visit to the Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch. The kids had a great time...wish we could have stayed a little longer!

A Ganma Weekend!

Ganma came to visit this weekend! We had a great time with her. She joined us for both of the kids games, we had lunch together and then went to the Pumpkin Patch! She also worked with me at church on Saturday night and spent ALL day with the kids on Sunday while Matt and I went to the Cowboy game. (Thanks Mom!) I know they had a great time. Audrey and Wesley were so excited to spend the day with their Ganma, it's not often that they get this kind of opportunity!

Tag your it!

I saw this on one of my students family blog. I thought it was a cute idea so here it goes! (Thanks for the idea Cynthia!)

Here's a new tag that is actually pretty simple to do.
Open your pictures folder
Go to the SIXTH folder
Go to the SIXTH picture
Publish it to a NEW POST and tell the story of the photo
This is actually the fifth picture...The sixth one was the side of Audrey's face (you couldn't see the whole mask). But this is Batgirl....umm I mean Audrey. Notice her little broken wrist, (McDonald's playground) Wesley would always have her dress up as Batman or Spiderman and they would play together. I miss it!!!

A Busy Week

Well, it is finally Friday, and I still have so much to do! I thought before I get started for the day that I would take some time and give a quick family update...

First of all, Congratulations to my good friend Sara who had her baby girl on Monday. Emma Grace was born on Monday October 13th at 12:07 am. She weighed in at 7lbs and 3oz and was 20 in. long. Sara made it to the hospital 20 minutes before she was born! I can't wait to meet her!

School is going well for the kiddos and myself. Wesley got his first report card this year, and he did fairly well. He will be doing tutoring for some help in math. I am very grateful for his teacher this year, who is determined to set Wesley on the right path. She has been an answer to our prayers! Wesley has joined running club after school. He runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and when he reaches 100 miles he will earn a hooded sweat shirt. Needless to say, he is very excited about it, and I am all for anything that can wear that boy out! He ran two miles yesterday on his first day. Go Wes!

Audrey is doing great too. She had a letter "T" bag come home on Tuesday with the instructions to find an object that starts with the letter "T" and bring it back to school in Thursday. She choose to bring a "t"ee-shirt from one of her dolls. Her school is having Farm Day in a couple of weeks and she is very excited about it! There will be pictures I'm sure. Cubbies is going well for her too, she has earned two patches for her vest so far!

Matt and I are also doing well. We realized the other day that in about a month we will have been married for 6 1/2 years! Wow how time does fly. He says that it still feels like we got married yesterday, but that we have the comfort level of a couple that has been married for 60 years! Couldn't ask for a better guy.

Post more later...We love you all.

The Air Show

We went to the air show today with Matt's friend Lindsey from Virginia. We got there just in time to see the Thunderbirds! We asked Audrey why do you think they call them the Thunderbirds? She replied "because they fly like birds, and are fast as thunder!" Later she corrected her self and told us she meant to say..."loud as thunder, because lighting is fast...not thunder"

Wesley was amazed as he is every year. His favorite plane was the A-10 Thunderbolt (War Hog)
.

Audrey was not too happy with the noise, even though she had earplugs. Fortunately, Lindsey was kind enough to hold her hands over her ears the whole time! (Sucka!)

This has now become a family tradition of sorts, this was the third year we have attended, and we are already looking forward to next time!

I Love Our Dog...

Abigail Marie Jackson (a name given by Wesley). This is the sweetest dog I have ever known, Wesley reminded me today that she just had a birthday, so happy 2nd birthday Abby. Here are five reasons why we love our dog.

1. She snores like a human
2. She still acts like a puppy
3. She has the most adorable face
4. She loves the kids (she thinks she is one of them!)
5. She knows how to melt your heart

Welcome to the 21st Century!

So, I'm joining the 21st century and creating a blog! I thought that this would be a good way for everyone to keep updated with us, since we are all so busy. I'll try to update our blog every few days or so, but NO promises!

We just finished a very busy week, and tomorrow it starts all over again! Wesley had his first (flag) football game, and Audrey had her first soccer game yesterday. They did so well! This is Wesley's first year to play football (he's played soccer and basketball before) and Audrey's first year in sports period. Let's just say that they were exhausted last night!

Wesley's team won, and Audrey's...well lets just say thankfully they don't keep score yet. After explaining to Wesley that you are not supposed to take the flag off of another player unless he has the ball, and if your team has the ball, you don't need to take the flag at all, he finally found his grove. He even made a "tackle"! Yeah Wes!

Watching Audrey and her team was hilarious! They were so cute and sweet. All of the girls were waiting for permission to run, kick, or go after the ball. It's hard to explain to them that this time you can go after it and take it with out asking!

Well, I hope to have more pictures and posts later, and I'll try my best!
